Nicolas has been all about fireworks this year. We watched some at Lansdowne on Friday night which were pretty good but short. Then Saturday we went to Ryan and Hadley's house in Alexandria for a barbeque followed by more fireworks! Ryan and his friend Mark set off some in the driveway which the kids were fascinated by. Saturday night we met the Gregory's for Ashburn Village fireworks and they were awesome! We were very close and they really were spectacular. Apparently Nicky still hasn't had enough because he wants to see more tonight. I'm wondering if the thrill of being outside in the dark after bedtime could possibly have something to do with it. So far it's been a family-fun filled weekend. Of course Royal is golfing right now but we're there with him in spirit and I'm totally sure he's thinking of us.....

update - the wonderful husband known as Royal got a tee time @ 7:21am so he could be home early with his family by noon - but here he sits alone as they are at the gym - surely thinking of him as he is thinking of them...
