So we had a SUPER fabulous weekend with Nina and Poppy. We started the day off Saturday with a soccer game where Royal scored his first goal (woo hooooooo!!!) and then spent the day at Pumpkinville. Soooooo much fun! We took a hayride and rode slides and jumped in moonbounces and got verrrry dirty. We checked out all the animals at the animal park. Some cute and some icky. The monkeys were so animated! They were totally putting on a show for us.
By the time we left Pumpkinville we were pretty freaking hungry since all we ate all day was apples because they were free and the food was CRAZY expensive. $8 for a hamburger! So we went to Macaroni Grill for an early dinner. Nina's birthday is coming up so she picked one of her Northern VA faves. It was super yummy and the boys were so well behaved. Nicky was so tired out from our busy day that he was acting nutty. We were worrying that the virgin strawberry dacquiri we ordered him was maybe not virgin. He was being wacky and it was soo funny!
Then we went to Wegmans and picked out some goodies to enjoy at home for dessert. A vanilla cake and pumpkin cookies. Andrew, Kim and Jorji came over to sing to Nicky and brought him a gift. Helicopters!
We shopped a little on Sunday. Went to Trader Joe's cuz dad just loves it. I LOOOOVE having Nina and Poppy here and it was an extra super fantastic weekend this time. The weather was PERFECT.
