Coach Linda took the boys through some martial arts basics and Royal even broke a board at the end! Then we enjoyed Royal's faves; pizza, ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. I wish these birthdays would quit sneaking up on me so fast. But so glad and thankful for our Royal. He's SEVEN! He's sweet, thoughtful, helpful, kind, considerate, confident, willing, and determined. An additional adjective that comes to mind lately is relentless. My mom used to call my brother "Relentless Ryan". I'm stealing that nickname for our Relentless Royal. I'm glad for the "never give up" attitude that will hopefully serve him well later in life. Just keep hanging on to that as my last nerve begins to fray.....
