So last night Royal got all dressed up in his Ninja halloween costume so we could go to "Air and Scare" at the Air and Space Museum. It's a cool little thing they do with trick or treating and discovery centers and scary stories and stuff. We were pretty excited until we got about halfway there and the traffic was horrific. At first we thought it was just construction but when it became apparent that the traffic was all for the Air and Space Museum, we realized it was not going to happen. It was crazy! So I felt terrible that we sat in all that traffic forever and we weren't even going to be able to go. So we had to think of an alternate plan. Bowling! The kids love bowling and if it weren't for the nasty smoke smell we would go more often. It's nauseating after 3 games of bowling. But we had a marvelous time.
Again though, when is someone going to open a chic, smoke free bowling alley with sushi and cosmos instead of watery beer and soggy fries???? Anyone??

They actually have a really nice bowling alley in DC by the Verizon Center called Strike DC. I think there may be one in Bethesda too. It's pretty expensive but sometimes worth it to have a nice bowling outing instead of a trailer one - LOL!
